Anti bribery and corruption
newsXpress is committed to conducting business in a fair and ethical manner. We have a zero-tolerance policy for bribery and corruption in all forms.
We define bribery as the offering, promising, giving, accepting, requesting, or seeking of any undue advantage or benefit to influence the outcome of a decision or action. Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain.
We prohibit all employees and contractors from engaging in any bribery or corruption, whether directly or indirectly. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Offering, promising, or giving bribes to government officials, foreign public officials, or employees of private companies in order to obtain or retain business or a business advantage
- Accepting bribes from government officials, foreign public officials, or employees of private companies
- Facilitation payments (i.e., unofficial minor payments to secure or speed up a routine government action)
- Engaging in any other form of corruption, such as embezzlement, fraud, or conflict of interest
Any employee or contractor who violates this policy will be subject to formal disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment to the extent permitted by the employment laws of Australia. We may also report any violations of this policy to the appropriate authorities.
We encourage all employees and contractors to report any suspected bribery or corruption to the leadership team of the company. All reports will be investigated thoroughly and confidentially.
